Privacy Policy

G-AND values the protection of our customers' personal information and always makes its best efforts to protect it.
G-AND complies with all laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal information, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., the principal statute in this area.

G-AND website's Privacy Policy contains the following.

1. General Provisions

Personal information means information about a living individual that can identify that individual by name, resident registration number or similar particulars (including information that, even if it alone cannot identify a particular individual, can readily be combined with other information to do so).

G-AND website places great importance on your personal information and complies with the personal information protection provisions of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., as well as with the Personal Information Protection Guidelines established by the Ministry of Information and Communication. G-AND website informs you, through this Privacy Policy, of the purposes and manner in which the personal information you provide is used, and of the measures taken to protect it.

G-AND website discloses this Privacy Policy on the front page of its website so that you may view it easily at any time.

G-AND website has established the procedures necessary to amend this Privacy Policy so that it may be improved continuously. In addition, whenever the Privacy Policy is amended, we post a notice on the site so that you can easily identify the changes.

2. Scope of Personal Information Collected

G-AND website collects and uses the minimum personal information necessary in order to provide each user with the optimal service when responding to suggestions, complaints and requests for materials, thereby increasing customer satisfaction with the company and its products.

3. Method of Collecting Personal Information

We provide a procedure through which you may select "I agree" or "I do not agree" after reviewing this Privacy Policy, and clicking the "I agree" button is deemed to constitute consent to the collection of personal information.

The company uses the personal information it collects for the following purposes. All information provided by members will not be used for any purpose other than those required below, and prior consent will be obtained in the event of any change.

5. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

In principle, the company deletes a member's personal information immediately once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. However, in the following cases the information is retained, by way of exception, for the period specified.

- Grounds for retention: prevention of fraudulent use, cooperation with investigative agencies regarding unlawful users, the Protection of Communications Secrets Act and information

② Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.
- Retention period for personal information under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. and its Enforcement Decree: 6 months
- Records concerning the individual: 6 months
- Website visit records: 3 months
Where the company and its affiliates have obtained separate consent as necessary: retained within the scope and period of use for which separate consent was obtained

6. Right to Refuse Consent to the Collection of Personal Information

You have the right to select "I do not agree" after reviewing this Privacy Policy; in such case, it may be difficult for us to provide normal services.

7. Collection of Personal Information by Cookies

- What is a cookie?

G-AND website uses "cookies" to store and retrieve information about members from time to time.
A cookie is a small amount of information that a website sends to a member's computer browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, etc.).

When a member accesses the website, the G-AND website's computer reads the contents of the cookies in the member's browser and locates the member's additional information on your computer, so that the service can be provided without requiring you to enter your name or other details again upon access. Cookies are automatically deleted when the browser is closed or when you log out.

8. Use Beyond the Stated Purpose and Provision to or Sharing with Third Parties

G-AND website uses members' personal information only within the scope notified under "Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information," and does not use it beyond that scope or provide it to any other person, company or institution.

9. Access to and Correction of Personal Information

Members may view or correct their registered personal information at any time.
To view or correct your personal information, click "Change Personal Information" to do so yourself, or contact the personal information manager or the person in charge in writing, by telephone or by e-mail, and we will take action without delay.

10. Withdrawal of Consent to the Collection, Use and Provision of Personal Information

You may withdraw at any time the consent you gave to the collection, use and provision of personal information through membership registration or otherwise.
To withdraw consent (cancel membership), you may do so yourself by clicking "Cancel Membership" on the website.
We will take the measures necessary to make withdrawal of consent to the collection of personal information (cancellation of membership) easier than the method of collecting personal information.

11. Technical and Managerial Measures for the Protection of Personal Information

In handling members' personal information, we take the following technical measures to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered or damaged.

① G-AND website limits access to members' personal information to the minimum number of persons.
Those persons are as follows.
- Persons who perform marketing duties directly with users
- Persons who perform personal information management duties, such as the personal information manager and persons in charge
- Other persons for whom handling personal information is unavoidable in the course of their duties
② We provide regular in-house training and externally commissioned training to employees who handle personal information, covering the acquisition of new security technologies and the duty to protect personal information.
③ The handover of duties by persons who handle personal information is carried out thoroughly with security maintained, and responsibility for personal information incidents after joining and after leaving the company is clearly defined.
④ Personal information and general data are not stored together but are kept separately on a dedicated server.
⑤ The computer room, data storage room and similar areas are designated as specially protected areas with controlled access.
⑥ G-AND website is not liable for matters arising from a user's own mistakes or from the inherent risks of the Internet. Each member must properly manage his or her own ID and password in order to protect their personal information and must bear responsibility for doing so.
⑦ Where personal information is lost, leaked, altered or damaged due to an internal administrator's mistake or a technical management incident

12. Linked Sites

G-AND website may provide you with links to other companies' websites or materials.
In such case, the company has no control over external sites and materials and therefore cannot be held responsible for, or guarantee, the usefulness of the services or materials obtained from them. If you click (click) a link contained on our site and move to a page on another site (site), that site's privacy policy is unrelated to the company, so please review the policy of the newly visited site.

13. Postings

G-AND website values members' postings and makes its best efforts to protect them from alteration, damage or deletion.
However, this does not apply in the following cases.

① Spam postings (e.g., chain letters, mass mailings, advertisements for particular sites, etc.)
② Writings that damage another person's reputation by spreading false information with the intent to defame that person
③ Disclosure of another person's personal details without consent, content infringing the copyright or other rights of a third party, and other postings unrelated to the subject of the bulletin board
④ G-AND website may, in order to foster a sound bulletin board culture, delete certain portions or replace them with symbols before posting, where another person's personal details are disclosed without consent.
⑤ Where content could be moved to a bulletin board on a different subject, we indicate the path of the move in the posting concerned so that no misunderstanding arises.
⑥ In other cases, content may be deleted after an express or individual warning.
Fundamentally, all rights and responsibilities relating to a posting rest with the individual author.
In addition, information voluntarily disclosed through a posting is difficult to protect, so please consider carefully before disclosing information.

14. Consignment of Personal Information Processing

G-AND website may consign the collection, handling and management of your personal information to an external party in order to improve its services.
- Where the processing of personal information is consigned, we will notify you in advance, in writing, by e-mail, by telephone or via the website, of the consignee, the consignment period, the relationship between the service provider and the consignee, the scope of responsibility and other related matters.
- Where the processing of personal information is consigned, we will clearly stipulate in the consignment agreement the service provider's strict compliance with instructions on personal information protection, the confidentiality of personal information, the prohibition on provision to third parties, the assumption of liability in the event of an incident, the consignment period, and the return or destruction of personal information after processing is completed, and we will retain the contents of that agreement in writing or electronically.

15. Transmission of Advertising Information

① G-AND website does not transmit advertising information for commercial purposes against your express refusal to receive it.
② G-AND website, where a member has consented to receive e-mail such as newsletters, takes the following measures in the subject line and the body of the e-mail so that you can easily recognize it.
- Subject line of the e-mail: the wording "(Advertisement)" may be omitted from the subject line, in which case the main content of the body of the e-mail is indicated.

- Body of the e-mail: the name of the sender, the e-mail address, the telephone number and address through which a member may express refusal to receive, the method of refusing receipt (Korean/English), and the time at which consent to receive was given are specified.

17. Duty to Notify

This Privacy Policy was established on July 1, 2005. Where content is added, deleted or amended due to changes in government policy or in security technology, notice will be given through the "Notices" section of the website at least 10 days before the amendment takes effect.
